vigr - Edit /etc/group

The vigr command can only be executed by the superuser. It is a command related to user accounts and groups. Its purpose is to use the vi editor to open and modify important configuration files for groups, namely "/etc/group" and "/etc/gshadow", in order to make changes to group settings.

The file "/etc/group" is a configuration file that defines groups on a Unix-like operating system. It specifies group names, group IDs, and the users who are members of each group. The format of the "/etc/group" file is referenced here.

The file "/etc/gshadow" is another configuration file that contains group password information, typically stored as "x." The format of the "/etc/gshadow" file is also referenced here.
